Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Lionel ‘Léo’ Gallant le dimanche 20 août 2017 à l’Hôpital Horizon Santé-Nord à Sudbury à l'âge de 72 ans. Il aimait aller à la chasse ainsi qu’à la pêche et récolter le riz sauvage avec son frère Fern, regarder les courses de NASCAR à la télévision et passer du temps à son ordinateur. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Lise, ses enfants, Tina Kewaquado (Sam) d'Orillia et Bob de Chicoutimi, cinq petits-enfants, Kevin, Derrick, Jessica (Jesse), Ben et Juliette, quatre arrière-petits-enfants, Ricky, Brody, Layla et Andrew, ainsi que ses frères et soeurs, Fernand (Suzanne Gravel) de Kapuskasing, Yvonne Goulet de Moonbeam, Cécile Peters de St. Catharines et Pauline Séguin de Niagara Falls. Il fut prédécédé par ses frères et sœurs : Léo-Paul, André, Joseph, Évangeline Dufresne, Henriette Rocca et Rhéona Lavigne.

La famille invite parents et amis à célébrer la vie de Lionel le samedi 9 septembre à partir de 16h00 à la salle des Chevaliers de Colombs, 12 rue Kolb, Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer ou la Maison de Kin. ©



We regret to announce the death of Lionel “Léo” Gallant on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Health Sciences North in Sudbury at the age of 72. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, harvesting wild rice with his brother Fern, watching NASCAR races and playing on the computer. He is survived by his wife Lise, his children, Tina Kewaquado (Sam) of Orillia and Bob of Chicoutimi, five grandchildren, Kevin, Derrick, Jessica (Jesse), Ben and Juliette, four great-grandchildren, Ricky, Brody, Layla and Andrew, as well as his siblings, Fernand (Suzanne Gravel) of Kapuskasing, Yvonne Goulet of Moonbeam, Cécile Peters of St. Catharines and Pauline Séguin of Niagara Falls. He was predeceased by his siblings, Léo-Paul, André, Joseph, Évangeline Dufresne, Henriette Rocca and Rhéona Lavigne.

The family would like to invite family and friends to join them in celebrating Lionel's life on Saturday, September 9th beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 12 Kolb St, Kapuskasing. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or House of Kin would be greatly appreciated. ©
