Obituary for Arthur Michalak

Arthur  Michalak
Mr. Arthur “Bert” Michalak, of Fort Simpson, NWT passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, surrounded by his loved ones, on February 11th 2017 at the age of 67.

Bert is survived by his loving wife, Rhea Michalak and his mother, Beth Michalak Utah, his children Sean Gregory (Julie), Candice Gregory (Jesse) of Kapuskasing, Adam Michalak (Katie) of Chicago, IL, Sara Crouch (Jack), and Jenni Budnik (Chris) of Milwaukee, WI, his eight grandsons, Callum, Colton, Daxton, Damion, Logan, Carter, Wesley and Finn. Also his loving family in the US, Ronald Michalak (Barbara) of Surprise, AZ, Zoey Taylor (Curt) of Plain City, UT, Terri Seach (Mike) of Stansberry Park, UT, Kathi Crites (Steve) of Ogden, UT, and Brad Michalak (Sheila) of Brigham City, UT. He is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Schaffer (Gene), and his father, Arthur Michalak. He will be missed by several brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Arthur “Bert” was born June 15th 1949 in Milwaukee WI to Arthur and Beth Michalak. He graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering, and from Capella University with a Master’s of Science (Clinical Psychology). In 1997, Bert married the love of his life Rhea, his “Mon Amour”. He was able to practice in the field of psychology, a lifelong dream of helping others. Many will remember his passion for music, golf and spending time with his family. He will be missed by his fur babies, Harley and Alvi.

Arthur will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kapuskasing Community Church with Reverend James Ko officiating.
